The thinking

Rigid wrist braces work by stopping the joint moving — which is why most people take them off and stop wearing them. The Vitella Wrist & Thumb Compression Sleeve takes the opposite approach: a seamless knit that applies steady compression across the wrist and the thumb's base joint, so the hand feels held rather than immobilised. Fingers and thumb tip stay free, meaning you can keep typing, gripping and working with it on.

Construction

What the product actually does

  • Compression without immobilising

Steady, even pressure across the wrist and thumb base. No splint, no straps, no locked joint.

  • Thumb and fingers stay free

The opening wraps the base of the thumb only, so grip, pinch and typing are unaffected.

  • Seamless knit

Knitted in one piece with no interior seams to rub — which is what makes all-day wear realistic.

  • Left and right

Handed construction: choose the sleeve for the hand you need, or wear a pair.

  • Thin and breathable

Slim enough to wear under a shirt cuff or a glove, breathable enough for the gym.

  • Holds its compression

High-recovery elastane keeps the fit consistent through repeated washing.

Who it is for

When this is the right support

  • Keyboard and mouse work

For wrists that feel tight by the end of a screen day. Thin enough to type in without altering your hand position.

  • Waking with a stiff wrist

Light compression overnight or in the morning, for the tightness and tingling that shows up after sleep.

  • Gaming and training

Long controller sessions, gym work and racquet sports, where a rigid brace would get in the way.

  • Carrying a baby

Repeated lifting after birth puts real strain on the thumb base. This supports it without stopping you using your hands.

  • Tools and trades

Steady support for hands that grip and twist all day, under a work glove if needed.
