About
19 years making supports designed to be worn, not endured
Vitella has been designing and manufacturing orthopaedic supports for feet, wrists and hands since 2007. Not the rigid, clinical kind that come out of a drawer for an hour — the kind you put on in the morning and forget about.

The orthopaedic aisle has an honesty problem, and a comfort problem, and they are the same problem.
Walk into any pharmacy and you will find braces that work exactly as described — for the twenty minutes anyone can stand to wear them. Rigid shells, hard plastic hinges, straps that leave marks. They are not badly made. They are made for a clinical setting and then sold for daily life, and the mismatch is why so many of them end up unused in a bathroom cupboard.
Vitella started in 2007 to close that gap. Every product in the range begins from a single question: what would this have to feel like for someone to still be wearing it at the end of a shift? That question rules out a lot. It rules out bulk, hard edges, fabrics that trap sweat, and anything that has to be removed to put a shoe on.
It also changes what you optimise. Rather than maximising support and hoping people tolerate it, we work out the most support that can be delivered inside a product thin enough to disappear — under a sock, inside a trainer, beneath a shirt cuff. 19 years of making these things is mostly 19 years of learning where that line sits.
Design and manufacturing sit together in China, which is deliberate: the people specifying a knit structure and the people running the machines that make it need to be in the same conversation. Distribution runs through one appointed partner per market rather than every channel that will take stock — a shorter chain is the most effective protection against counterfeits reaching customers.

What we believe
Four positions we are not flexible on
- 01
A support that comes off does nothing
Clinical effect depends entirely on wear time, and wear time depends on comfort. So comfort is not a nice-to-have that we add at the end — it is the constraint we design against from the start. Every decision about thickness, seams, breathability and edge finish traces back to it.
- 02
Narrow beats broad
It is easy to put a hundred braces in a catalogue and hard to make three that are genuinely good. We would rather be known for a short range where every product earns its place than a long one padded out with items nobody on the team would wear.
- 03
Say what the product does, and no more
This category is full of language that promises correction, cure and permanent change. We describe what our products physically do — offload a joint, lift an arch, compress a wrist — and leave diagnosis to clinicians.
- 04
Authenticity is the customer's right, not our favour
If you buy something that sits against your skin all day, you should be able to confirm it came from the company whose name is on it. That is why every Vitella unit is serialised and independently checkable, with no account and no app.
Working with us
We are appointing distributors in new markets
If you supply pharmacies, clinics or retail and want to carry the Vitella range in your country, we would like to talk. We appoint one distributor per market and support them properly rather than selling to everyone at once.
